  • 2.5lb. boneless, skinless turkey breast
  • 1.5 tbsp kosher salt
  • 3 tbsp coarse black pepper
  • 3/4 cup butter
  1. Pre-heat REC TEC to 275‚Ñâ degrees.
  2. Coat both sides of the turkey breast in salt and pepper and place on the REC TEC.
  3. After about 2 hours, your internal temp. will be around 130‚Ñâ.
  4. Slice the butter into manageable pieces and place them on two layers of heavy aluminum foil.
  5. Place the turkey breast upside down on the butter and wrap in foil.
  6. Insert a temperature probe into the turkey breast and return it to the REC TEC.
  7. Continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 160‚Ñâ.
  8. Remove, allow turkey breast to sit for 15 minutes, slice and serve.

    Cooked a butterball turkey breast this morning following this recipe and cooking method. It turned out fantastic. Cooked on a Rec Tec 700.

    I have been dreaming about Rec Tec grills and decided to make this on my current smoker (cookshack amerique). The probe has died on my smoker so I'm now using an external thermometer. I really miss the set and forget and will likely get a Rec Tec soon.

    Back to the recipe. It was myself and my wife, plus 3 women. They constantly asked when the food would be done. After killing 4 bottles of wine, the turkey finished early, and was served to the impatient natives. It was a 3 pound turkey breast and it is gone. It was consumed like it was appetizers. It was actually a little scary. I'm going to have to make 2 next time.

    Just got my grill and this was the first recipe out of the gate, just happened to have a boneless turkey breast in the fridge. Fantastic!

    Tried this the other day and it came out great! Super easy, no expensive rubs, and everyone ate it up. No more turkey in the over for me.

    I have been frying turkeys at Thanksgiving for years and love the moist rich flavor. However, I Decided to try this recipie on the RecTec this year and WOW! I really couldn't believe it. Honestly, this is the best Turkey I've ever eaten in my 55 years of southern life. The juices were dripping from the meat and the flavor from the simple rub was on point. Very simple but awesome! I may have fried my last turkey.
