Smoked Prime Rib


  • 6.75lb. prime rib of beef 
  • 2 tbsp beef base
  • 3 tbsp REC TEC Grills Ben's Heffer Dust
  • 1 tbsp thyme, chopped
  • 1 tbsp rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sage, chopped


  • Pre-heat REC TEC Grill to 300℉.
  • Trim any loose fat or meat from the rib roast.  
  • Rub the beef base all over the roast, then season with Ben's Heffer Dust and fresh herbs.  
  • Smoke the roast to an internal temp. of 130℉ (2-2.5 hours).
  • Allow the roast to rest for 20-30 minutes prior to slicing.
