Mongolian Beef

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs. flank steak
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 2oz ginger, minced

Marinade:

  • 2oz ginger, minced
  • 2oz soy sauce

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups green onion, sliced

Instructions:

  • Slice flank steak very thinly across the grain (1/4" strips). 
  • Prepare the marinade of ginger and soy sauce, toss with the flank steak in a large bowl and allow to marinate for 2-4 hours.
  • Pre-heat REC TEC Matador over high heat, add the sunflower oil, and sear the beef for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add 2oz of ginger and cook for 1 minute.
  • To create the sauce add the green onion, brown sugar, and soy sauce and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
