  • 3.lbs 80/20 ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp REC TEC Grills Ben's Heffer Dust
  • 1 tbsp steak sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion, minced
  • 16oz cheddar cheese, sliced
  1. Mix the ground beef with the eggs, Ben's Heffer Dust, steak sauce, and onion well.
  2. Form the beef into 4oz patties, and top half of the patties with your favorite sliced cheese making sure to leave about 1/2 inch on the outside perimeter.
  3. Top with the second patty and press down to ensure there is no trapped air, then crimp the sides tightly to ensure a tight seal so that the cheese does not leak out.
  4. Season each burger with Ben's Heffer Dust.
  5. Preheat grill to full and sear each side for 4-6 minutes.

I'm normally not a fan of fancy hamburgers but with that being said these were the most delicious juicy burgers i've ever eaten. Wife and kid loved them as well!

I used this method the last time I made burgers and will continue to do so. It also makes the perfect burger perfect to eat without a bun.

The recipe is really good and burgers are delicious. I made a slightly mixed batch and instead of just cheddar I also used habanero cheddar for a spicy flare!! Best burgers I’ve had in a long time.
