Blue Crab Stuffed Lobster

  • 2, 2lb. lobsters
  • 1lb. blue crab meat
  • 2oz butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4-1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
  1. Heat REC TEC to 400°F, with a cast-iron skillet.
  2. Add the butter, onion, celery, and garlic and cook until the vegetables are translucent (about 7-8 minutes).
  3. Add the cooked vegetable mixture to a large mixing bowl and add remaining ingredients.  
  4. Mix gently as to avoid breaking up the lumps of crab.  
  5. Cut the lobsters in half and clean out the cavity. 
  6. Fill with the crab mixture and cook on the REC TEC grill for 20-25 minutes until the lobster is cooked and the crab stuffing is hot.

    awesome. had family over and tried this for the first time. We are blessed with a great fish market close to us so we can get live lobster and good crab meat. This is easy, delicious and looks great. I opened the claw so we would just have to eat and not work with the claw shell. Next time I'll just cut let leg off and cook the claw open separately (will present better) Thanks for an easy yet impressive recipe.

    I have been looking for a good, but different, recipe for lobster and this is the bees knees. Everything about this dish reminds me of a super fancy restaurant but your able to enjoy it at home. Great recipe for the pellet grill.
