Balsamic 5-Onion Dip

Description

Ingredients:

  • 2oz olive oil
  • 8oz Vidalia onion, julienned
  • 8oz yellow onion, julienned
  • 8oz shallots, julienned
  • 8oz leeks, julienned
  • 1oz garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp REC TEC Grills Coldens Freakin' Greek Rub 
  • 1/2 cup Balsamic vinegar
  • 16oz sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to tase
Instructions:
 
  1. Preheat REC TEC Grill to 350ºF with a cast-iron pan.
  2. Add the olive oil, onions, garlic, Colden's Freakin' Greek Rub & cook for 40-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the Balsamic vinegar and cook 5-10 more minutes and allow the vinegar to reduce.
  4. Remove the onions and pulse in a food processor.
  5. Combine with the sour cream and add any additional salt & pepper if needed.

    I didn't know how easy onion dip was until I read this recipe. Chef Greg makes it super easy. It taste likes the way my grandma made it. Incredible!
