Bacon Wrapped Cheesy Sausage Popper Balls

Description

 

Ingredients:

  • 1lb. pork sausage
  • 1lb. bacon 
  • 1 package of cream cheese
  • 2-3 diced jalapeños
  • 1 cup shredded cheese blend
  • 1 tsp chipotle chili powder
Instructions:
 
  1. Mix cream cheese, diced jalapeños, shredded cheese, and chipotle powder in a bowl.
  2. Form the sausage into cups and fill with cheese mixture, then form into a ball. 
  3. Wrap 1-2 slices of bacon around ball.
  4. Smoke at 275°F for about 2 hours or until internal temp. is at 165°F.
  5. If you like, baste with your favorite BBQ sauce before serving.

    made this last weekend, almost followed instructions
    I didn't mix before hand, i just made the hollow sausage ball then added chopped jalapenos added 2 small cubes of moneray jack and a half teaspoon of cream cheese then closed the balls, wrapped with 1 slice of thick cut bacon.
    They came out awesome
